 MAKING MAYONNAISE DRESSING 

1  cup of vinegar

3 eggs 

1/2 cup of sugar

1tablespoonful of  flour

1 teaspoonful of dry mustard

1/2 teaspoonful of salt 

Many housewives find it difficult make good mayonnaise dressing. This is the receipt and the method for mayonnaise,- is very good and it never fails if made according to the directions. Heat one cup of vinegar, beat eggs until light and foamy. Mix in the  following dry ingredients: half cup of sugar, one heaping tablespoonful of  flour, one teaspoonful of dry mustard, half teaspoonful of salt. Mix the ingredients with eggs, and beat smooth, then add the vinegar, stirring the mixture to keep it  from curdling. Cook in a double boiler, until  the mixture is as thick as desired. Then remove from the fire, and add the butter, about the size of an egg. and beat until the butter has dissolved. A of  pinch of  red pepper will give it a good flavor,  if the salad dressing is to be used for lettuce, or any kind of vegetable salads. If kept in a cool place, this mayonnaise dressing will keep fresh for a long time, but cannot be used for  fruit salads.
