Codfish Muddle (Old New England Dish)
1 quart milk
4 soda crackers
1 to 1 1/2 lbs fresh cod
2 tablespoons butter
Salt to taste
Put one quart of milk in saucepan with fresh cod cut in small slices, four crackers broken rather fine, and salt. Cook for half an hour, add butter and serve very hot.
SERVED WITH GRAHAM CRACKERS- ALWAYS- ADDED INTO THE SOUP
