Breaded Parsnips
Traditional Thanksgiving Dish of our Puritan families from the Northern States of the United States of America. As well served on Christmas Day dinner.
For this dinner you will need
6 parsnips boiled
1 pinch of salt or to taste
1 pinch of black pepper or to taste
1/2 cup of unsalted butter
1-2 eggs
1 cup of bread crumbs
Cut your parsnips into small pieces and boil them in slightly salted water until tender. Mash the boiled parsnips with a wooden spoon or just in the blender and add a little salt and pepper into them. Let them cool down and add into them the melted butter and make the parsnip into the small balls. Roll your croquettes into well beaten egg and after that roll them in the dry bread crumbs and fry them in the very hot fat or oil until well browned.
