Ginger Creams
1 cup molasses
2 scant teaspoons soda,
1 cup sugar
11/2 cup boiling lard
2 eggs
11/2 cup milk
flour until very soft dough
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
Take 1 cup molasses, 2 scant teaspoons soda with molasses, 1 cup sugar, 11/2 cup boiling lard, 2 eggs, 11 2 cup milk flour until very soft dough, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ginger. Spread the dough thin in dripping pans, and when baked cut in squares and ice with this icing.
FOR THE ICING
12 tablespoons milk
2 cups sugar
Add enough fruit coloring to make a dainty pink
