Peppermints
2 cupfuls of sugar
1/2 cupful water
1/2 teaspoonful of cream of tartar
Take Two cupfuls of sugar, one half cupful water and boil five minutes, then remove from the fire and add a small half teaspoonful of cream of tartar, flavor to taste with oil of peppermintm and drop quickly on a buttered paper.
