Tutti Frutti Cream Candy
3 cupfuls of white sugar
1/2 half a cupful of water
1 tablespoonful of vinegar
1 cupful of grated fresh cocoanut
1 pound of fresh chopped figs
Take Three cupfuls of white sugar, half a cupful of water and one tablespoonful of vinegar. Boil ten minutes, then add one cupful of grated fresh cocoanut or the whole shredded cocoa nut. Boil for ten minutes longer, then remove from the fire and stir in one pound of fresh chopped figs, or the nut meats half and half with the figs. Drop by spoonfuls on a buttered paper or into fancy moulds or pour in shallow pans and cut in squares while cooling. Raisins may be mixed with the figs.
