Cherry Olives

 Cherry Olives 

1 quart  of unpitted and unstemmed cherries 

2  tablespoons of kosher salt

2 tablespoons of  white granulated sugar

1 cup of white vinegar

1 cup of water

Fill a quart can with  well washed unpitted and unstemmed cherries, scald them with boiling water before. Mix two tablespoons of kosher salt  with two tablespoonfuls of sugar,  one cupful of  white vinegar not very strong and one cupful of water.  Pour this marinade over the cherries and seal them up- put them into the fridge, if have fresh black olives- to the cherries add the olives.
