For this original American classic ice-cream- sundae dessert topping of the beginning of the last century you will need:
1 fluid ounce of maple syrup
1scoop of No8 ice-cream scoop of vanilla ice-cream
1 ounce of ground hickory nuts
2 nabisco wafers
MAPLE DRESSING, HOT No. 3
For this type of dessert topping and dessert sauce, you take 30 ml- 1 fluid ounce of hot maple syrup and mix with 1 ounce of ground hickory nuts. This hot topping is served on the plain vanilla ice- cream as a traditional topping. This topping is always served with two or three nabisco wafers.
