Baked Bananas
6 bananas
6 tablespoons of water
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Choose the well ripe bananas without any brown spots. Peel and scrape your bananas. Cut them into halves lengthwise, and put them in a layer on the bottom of a buttered casserole. Sprinkle your bananas with white sugar and the lemon juice. Pour the water over your bananas to cover them to the edges, but not over the top, and bake the banana fruits in a moderate oven until bananas are rich in color. The hot baked bananas may be served as main dish of meal for children supplemented with green vegetables, and as the simple dessert or as a dessert for the whole family after a light meal, especially on weekend. Perfect meal for the brunch- with a dollop of the whipped cream.
