Chocolate Sauce
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 or 2 squares chocolate
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cups boiling water
11/2 teaspoons cornstarch
Stir chocolate. sugar. salt and boiling water over fire until boiling. Cook five minutes. Add cornstarch dissolved in very little cold water and boil 6 or 8 minutes stirring constantly to keep smooth. Add vanilla and use hot or cold.
