Baked Chicken with Oysters

 Baked Chicken with Oysters 

2 plump chickens

2 cups oysters

2 cups bread crumbs

 a pinch of salt 

a pinch of pepper 

1/2 cup butter

 Dress 2 plump chickens as for reasting. Fill the inside with oysters and cracker or bread crumbs, and  add a pinch of salt and pepper, also a little melted butter, and sufficient warm water to well moisten the dressing. Bake until slightly browned and serve with the gravy. Very delicious.
