Scalloped Parsnips
1 dozen parsnips
1 cup milk
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper
1 tablespoon of butter
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup grated cheese
Boil 1 dozen parsnips in slightly salted water until tender, and arrange them in baking dish;pour a little milk over them. add salt and pepper, 1 tablespoon of butter and on the top grate some bread crumbs, and lastly a little cheese. Bake in the oven until slightly browned.
