Vegetable Soup
left over bones
1-2 onions,
1 tablespoon oatmeal.

Take left over bones from roast, cover well with water, add 1 or 2 onions cut fine, a tablespoon of oatmeal, and cook slowly until it comes to a boil. Add a small piece of beef liver if you have it, and all kinds of soup greens and vegetables cut fine. Let simmer until meat leaves bones. Season with salt, when you add the vegetables and greens. A steak bone will give equally good results. See Menu IX
