Beet Salad
1 quart of boiled beets
1 one quart cabbage
1 lb of sugar
1 cupful of horseradish
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
a pinch of red pepper
1/2 cup vinegar
1 lettuce
Take One quart of boiled beets, one quart cabbage, 1 lb of sugar, one cupful of horseradish, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, a pinch of red pepper and some vinegar. Chop the cabbage and the beets, then put them into a mixing bowl, season with the horseradish, sugar, salt, peppers and with vinegar .Mix and serve when very on lettuce leaves.
