Nine minute Cabbage
11/2 lb shredded cabbage
1 cup of milk
A few grains of salt
2 tablespoons butter
Cook the milk and salt in an open kettle until the mixture reaches the boiling point. Then add the shredded cabbage and cook for exactly 9 minutes. Mix with 2 teaspoons butter, and serve hot. Easily digested by adults and children.
