Baked Apples with Marshmallows
12 red apples
2 cups brown sugar
12 marshmallows
Select fine red apples. Core and fill centers with brown sugar and top with a dab of butter. Fill dish 1/4 full of boiling water and bake until apples are tender. Just before removing from the oven, place a marshmallow on top of each one, and leave in the oven until slightly browned.
