Good Cottage Pudding
11/2 cup sugar
11/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
Pinch salt
1/2 teaspoons bakiną powder
1 egg
1 cup flour
Cream butter and sugar, add beaten egg, then add milk alternately with flour, sifted with baking powder and salt. Bake in moderate oven 20 to 30 minutes. Serve with preserved fruits or with sliced bananas and oranges or other fruit combinations.
