Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
1 white cabbage
1 cup of rice
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
tomato sauce
salt
pepper
Parboil the large leaves of a cabbage. After they are parboiled take each leaf separately and place on it a tablespoons cooked rice. Roll up, fold under the ends of the leaf so as to keep the rice from falling out.Place in a buttered pan, and pour over it a can of tomato sauce with half amount of water. Season with salt. 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Lay over this strips bacon and bake slowly for one hour in the owen, Mrs HF Dallas Texas
