VANILLA ICE CREAM
2 cups hot milk
Few grains salt
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 cup sugar
1 quart thin cream
2 slightly beaten eggs
Scald the milk, mix in the sugar and flour. (Continued on page 36 ) together, and add to eggs slightly beaten. Mix well. Add the hot milk slowly. Cook this custard-like mixture over hot water until it thickens slightly. Cool and add the cream and vanilla .Freeze.
