 CLEANING MILK CANS 

The history of the American cuisine and the Public safety of the United States of America. One hundred years ago, the city of New York adopted the law of how the metal milk cans should be cleaned in the shops and the markets of the city of New York since September 1907. This was the strict sanitary code of the USA and the Secretariat of the City has just adopted the procedure of standard sanitization of the public containers of the city of New York. Containers used each day in the dairy shops, and not used  by the general public of city. These were the strict hygienic and sanitary norms of the United States Of America in 1907. The law is older than the WW1.

The Retail Confectioners Protective Association of the State of New York has issued the following notice with reference to the new section of the penal code anent cleaning milk cans:

Presenting below the original text, signed by the Secretary of the Department Of Public Health of The City Of New York:

 New York September 14th 1907  

 Dear Sir,

 The Board of Health has added the following section to the Sanitary Code:

" Section 183. It shall be the duty of all persons having in their possession bottles, cans, or other receptacles containing milk or cream, which are used in the transportation or delivery of milk or cream; to clean or cause them to be cleaned immediately upon emptying; and no person shall use, or cause or allow to be used, any such receptacle, for any purpose whatsoever, other than the  holding of milk or cream, or receive or have in his possession any such receptacle so used, or which is unclean, or in which milk or cream has been allowed to stand until offensive."

 Your attention is called to this law, in order that you may take the necessary steps for com pliance with same, as there is a heavy penalty for each violation.
