Rhubarb and Fig Jam

 Rhubarb and Fig Jam 

1 pound of rhubarb

1 pound of figs

2 cups sugar

 Cut rhubarb inri inch lengths and until soft in just enough water to prevent burning, Add sugar and  cook 15 minutes more. Then add figs which have been put through chopper. Cook over slow fire until thick, stirring  often to prevent burning. This makes a delicious filling for Washington pie. Mrs RGB New Jersey
