Deviled Ham Sandwiches
1 can of deviled ham- SPAM ham will do fine
1/2 cup of chile sauce
1/2 cup of mayonnaise- HELMANS will do fine
1 loaf of white bread
1 head of a crisp lettuce leaf
Turn out and open a can of deviled ham which is a traditional American boiled ham, seasoned and ground with black pepper and salt. Add on the top of the slice of white bread a spoonful of chile sauce or a spoonful of mayonnaise dressing until it will soak well, put a thin slice of ham on the top and use with a lettuce leaf if available as a cover for the top of the open sandwich. If you make the sandwich on the toast Melba- be sure to put more mayo or sauce on the top of it.
