The original recipe of the New England, Boston, and New York pharmacies. The sundae was sold in the pharmacies for 15 cents of 12 ounces serving glass.
For this original American classic ice-cream- sundae dessert of the beginning of the last century you will need:
No 8 cone of the vanilla ice-cream
1 fluid ounce of an iced grape-juice
2 ounces of the whipped cream
2-3 red maraschino cherries
Fill a sundae cup with two thirds full of vanilla- ice cream. Then fill the tup of the sundae cup with an iced grape juice, add to the top of the dessert two ounces of the heavy whipped cream and decorate with two red maraschino cherries.
