TOBY PUDDING

TOBY PUDDING  - CLASSICS OF THE AMERICAN  FAMILIES IN 1913

The Classic Grand Americana recipe of 1913. The popular Toby Pudding was recommended to all the families of the United States of America in 1913. The original recipe of Marion Harris Neil, very popular use of the stale bread and the bread crumbs.

TOBY PUDDING 

For the Toby Pudding  you will need

 1 loaf  of a stale bread 

1 cupfuls of favorite jelly or lemon jelly

2 cupfuls of heavy sweet whipping cream

1/2 cupful of white granulated sugar

To make this Toby Pudding use your loaf of a  stale bread and two cupfuls of lemon or other favorite jelly. Cut the bread into small dice, or simply crumb it.  Fill a  well buttered jelly mold nearly full of the dice, prepare the hot jelly according to the instructions on the package and pour over it the jelly hot. Put the pudding into the fridge and leave it until it has set. Turn out onto the serving platter when firm, and serve with whipped cream over the top.
