Brownies
11/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour milk
1 teaspoon soda
21/2 to 3 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins
Brownies 11/2 cups brown sugar, 1 cup shortening, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup sour milk, 1 teaspoon soda, 21/2 to 3 cups flour,1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1 cup raisins or dates. Make in small cakes with the hands, place in a greased pan, flatten with the bottom of a measuring cup and bake.
