POPULAR SODA LEMONADE
The Classic Grand Americana recipe. The popular lemonade sold in all the pharmacies of the United States of America in 1908. The original recipe. The lemonade was sold for ten cents a 12 ounces serving glass.
For this original American lemonade you will need
3 teaspoons of white powdered sugar (with heapings)
1 teaspoon of lemon or lime juice
11 ounces of carbonated water or club soda
Pour into the 12 ounces serving glass the 3 heaping teaspoonfuls of powdered sugar, add into this 1 teaspoonful of lemon juice and 11 ounces of the shaved ice,- to almost fill the tumbler. Fill with the soda water (club soda or carbonated water).
