Potato Caramel Cake
For this Potato Caramel Cake you will need
1/2 Cupful of Butter
2 Cupfuls of Sugar
2 Cupfuls of Flour
1 Cupful of Hot Mashed Potato
1/2 Cupful of Fresh Sweet Milk
4 Eggs
2 Teaspoonfuls of Baking Powder (Calumet or Glabber Girl works the best)
1 Cupful of Grated Chocolate or 2 Squares of Melted Chocolate
1 Cupful of Chopped English Walnuts
1 Teaspoonful Each of
Cinnamon and
Nutmeg
1 Teaspoonful of Vanilla Extract
Cream the butter and the sugar, add to the cream the yolks of the eggs, the mashed potato, the spices, the vanilla extract, and then mix in slowly the baking powder mixed with the flour, milk whites of the cold eggs stiffly beaten and the chopped.
