Steamed Chocolate Pudding
For the Steamed Chocolate Pudding you will need
2 Squares of Dark Chocolate(BAKERSWORKS THE BEST)
1 Egg
11/2 Cupful of Sugar
1 Cupful of Fresh Sweet Milk
2 Cupfuls of All Purpose Flour
1 Tablespoonful of Fresh Sweet Butter
2 Teaspoonfuls of Baking Powder (Calumet or Glabber Girl works the best)
11 2 Teaspoonful of Vanilla Extract Hard Sauce
Cream the room temperature butter and sugar together, add to the cream the cold egg well beaten, then add the lukewarm milk, the flour, the baking powder and vanilla extract and the chocolate melted. Pour the dough into a well buttered, or greased mold, cover it with buttered paper, and steam steadily for two hours. Turn the pudding out into the platter and decorate with a star of whipped cream and serve this pudding with the hard vanilla sauce.
