English Fruit Pudding
6 slices buttered bread
1 cup sugar
1 quart berries
1 cup of Whipped cream
Crush the berries with sugar. Trim the crust from the bread and line into a greased bowl with the slices cutting as necessary so that the pieces meet. Pour in the berries, cover with bread, set a plate on the top of bread, so that it is pressed down with the weight and put into the refrigerator for twenty four hours. Turn out of mold, garnish with whipped cream and serve.
