For this classic Native American Bean Salad you will need
1 cup of cold beans
1 cup of boiled potatoes
2 onions
1 little head of white cabbage
Take one cup of cold boiled beans and one cup of cold diced potatoes. If you need more- take the equal parts of those. Add to the salad one or two finely chopped onions a head of finely chopped little white cabbage. Chop and dice all fine, and season with pepper and kosher salt. Make a sauce of a little spoon of vinegar, or one or two spoonfuls of home-made mustard, mix together and serve.
