Corn-Meal-and-Wheat-Bread
This recipe reached our family from the distant 1917. Recipe of WW1- State of Iowa. No comments, only proportions of this home made bread were left for us by our great grandmothers.

11/2 cups pf milk, or water, or a mixture of the two
11/2 cake of compressed yeast
1/4 cups of milk, or water, or a mixture of the two
1/ 4 cup of liquid yeast
11 2 teaspoons of kosher salt
1 tablespoon of white granulated cane sugar
Butter (if used)-1 tablespoon
1 cup of corn meal(corn flour)
2 cups of wheat flour
