8 pounds of granulated maple sugar
1 pints of cold filtered water
1/2 fluid ounce of vanilla extract

For this type of dessert topping and dessert sauce, you take 8 pounds of the granulated maple sugar, and put it into the cast iron kettle. Pour into the kettle four pints of cold filtered water, Bring your syrup to the boiling point on the slow fire. To elevate the taste of the syrup add to the mixture 1/2 of the fluid ounce of the vanilla extract. Then turn the fire off and keep the sauce warm.
